Princess Cut Halo Moissanite Engagement Rings

Princess cut moissanite engagement rings with a halo of smaller stones around the center. The square outline and the halo together read considerably larger than the center carat weight alone.

Why a halo suits a princess cut

A princess cut is a square brilliant, and a halo of small stones set around it extends the square outline outward. The eye reads the cluster as one shape, so a 1ct princess inside a halo presents closer to a 1.5ct stone from any normal viewing distance.

There is a second benefit specific to this shape. A princess carries four sharp corners, and those corners are the first place a square stone takes damage. A halo puts metal and small stones around the perimeter, which shields them. If you liked the princess cut but worried about the corners, this is the setting that answers it.

What it costs, and what it saves

Small accent stones cost far less per carat than one large center, so a halo is the cheapest lever available for visible size. Buying the apparent spread through a halo rather than through a larger center is the single biggest saving on this page.

The trade-off is upkeep. More stones means more settings, more places for dirt to collect, and more prongs that can loosen over years of wear. A yearly check is sensible, the same way you would check a watch strap.

These are moissanite, not diamond

Every stone here is lab-grown moissanite, in the halo as well as the center. Moissanite is silicon carbide, conflict-free by definition, and 9.25 on the Mohs scale. It disperses light about 2.4 times as strongly as diamond, and the many small facets of a princess cut scatter that extra fire, so it reads closer to a diamond than a step cut would.

Frequently asked questions

Does a halo make the center stone look bigger?

Yes. The eye reads the halo and center as one outline, so a 1ct princess cut inside a halo presents closer to a 1.5ct stone at normal viewing distance. Small accent stones cost far less per carat than a larger center, which makes the halo the cheapest route to visible size.

Are the halo stones also moissanite?

Yes. Every stone in these rings is lab-grown moissanite, in the halo as well as the center. We do not sell diamonds, mined or lab-grown.

Do princess cut corners chip?

The four sharp corners are the most vulnerable part of any square stone. A halo shields them with metal and small stones around the perimeter, which is one practical reason to choose it over a bare princess solitaire.

How long does a made-to-order ring take?

Two to four weeks door to door: one to two weeks for production and quality checks in our Surat workshop, plus one to two weeks in transit. Returns and exchanges run 30 days.
