Stud Earrings

A single moissanite stone in each ear, set in sterling silver, gold or platinum. Studs are the piece most people wear every day, so we mount them in four-prong or bezel settings that hold the stone securely.

How to choose moissanite stud earrings

Studs are the piece most people put on without thinking about it, so the setting matters more than the stone size. A four-prong mount lifts the stone and lets more light in. A bezel wraps a rim of metal around the edge, sits flatter, and catches far less on hair and clothing. If you sleep in your earrings or work with your hands, take the bezel.

This page is single-stone studs. If you want a ring of smaller stones around each center, that is a different piece and it lives on our moissanite halo earrings page.

Carat weight and how it reads on the ear

Carat weight on our studs is quoted as the total across the pair, not per ear. A pair listed at 2ct total is two 1ct stones. Around 1ct total reads as an everyday stud, while 2ct and above starts to be noticeable across a room.

Choosing your metal

  • Sterling silver is the most affordable option. It will tarnish over time, which is normal and reversible with a polishing cloth.
  • 10k, 14k and 18k gold hold colour without maintenance. White gold is rhodium plated and needs re-plating every few years.
  • Platinum is the most durable and the most expensive.

Every pair is made to order in our own workshop in Surat. Production and quality checks take one to two weeks, and shipping adds another one to two weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Are moissanite stud earrings good for everyday wear?

Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, so it does not scratch or cloud in daily life. For studs worn constantly, a bezel setting catches less on hair and clothing than prongs, and gold avoids the tarnish that sterling silver picks up.

Is the carat weight per earring or per pair?

Per pair. A listing at 2ct total means two 1ct stones, one per ear. Around 1ct total reads as an everyday stud, while 2ct and up gets noticed across a room.

Screw backs or push backs?

Push backs are quicker to put on. Screw backs are harder to lose, which matters more as the stones get bigger. If you sleep in your earrings, screw backs are the safer choice.
