These are new rings made in period styles. Nothing here is antique, and we would rather say so plainly than let the word vintage do ambiguous work. What you get is the detail language of older jewelry, milgrain beading along the edges, filigree in the gallery, hand-engraved shoulders, executed on a new setting with modern metal and a modern stone.

The practical advantage over a genuine antique is that the metal has not been worn thin by a century of use, and the setting was built for a stone that is actually in it.

Which stone shapes suit the style

Older cuts favored shapes that are still available. Emerald and asscher cuts read Art Deco. Cushions read Edwardian and Victorian. Ovals and rounds sit comfortably in almost any period setting. If you want the vintage look to be unmistakable, an asscher or emerald center in a milgrain setting does most of the work on its own.

Made to order in Surat in sterling silver, 10k to 18k gold, or platinum. Fine detail like milgrain and filigree holds better in harder metals, so gold or platinum is worth considering here. Two to four weeks, sizes 3 to 10, 30 day returns.
