Cushion Cut Halo Moissanite Engagement Rings

Cushion cut moissanite engagement rings with a halo of smaller stones around the center. The cushion's rounded corners and the halo's soft outline suit each other, which is why this pairing stays one of the most requested.

Why cushion and halo suit each other

A cushion is square or slightly rectangular with rounded corners, and a halo traces that softened outline without any hard angles interrupting it. The pairing reads gentler than a princess halo and more structured than a round one, which is why it has stayed among the most requested combinations for a decade.

The halo also does its usual work. The eye reads the cluster as one shape, so a 1ct cushion inside a halo presents like a noticeably larger stone, and small accent stones cost far less per carat than a bigger center would.

Chunky or crushed ice inside the halo

Cushions are cut two ways. Chunky facets return light in broad flashes, and in moissanite those flashes carry visible color, since the stone disperses light about 2.4 times as strongly as diamond. Crushed ice faceting scatters the fire into a fine glitter and reads closer to a diamond. Inside a halo the crushed ice version is the quieter choice, and the chunky version is the statement.

Moissanite throughout

Center and halo are both lab-grown moissanite rather than diamond. Silicon carbide, conflict-free by definition, 9.25 on the Mohs scale. Made to order in our own workshop in Surat, two to four weeks door to door, sizes 3 to 10 in quarter steps, 30 days to return or exchange.
