Diamond Band Moissanite Engagement Rings

Diamond band moissanite engagement rings, made to order in sterling silver, gold, or platinum. The band carries stones along its length rather than sitting plain, and every stone is moissanite, including the ones in the band.

What diamond band means here

Diamond band describes a setting style, a shank set with small stones along its length, rather than the material in it. Jewelers have used the term for pave and channel-set shanks for decades. Every stone in these rings is lab-grown moissanite, in the band as well as the center. We do not sell diamonds, mined or lab-grown, and the collection name is a style label rather than a description of the stone.

What the stones in the band actually do

A stone-set shank throws light along the finger and makes the center stone look brighter by contrast. It also makes the ring read wider without needing a wider band.

The trade-off is maintenance. Small stones in a shank sit exactly where a ring takes most of its daily contact, and over years a prong can loosen. Have them checked once a year the way you would check a watch strap. This is normal for any pave setting anywhere, and it is better known before you buy than after.

Resizing a set band

A fully set band is difficult to resize, because there is no plain metal for a jeweler to cut and rejoin. Rings set across the top half only can be resized within limits. If you are unsure of the finger size, choose a partially set band.
